A SUCCESS STORY
Historically, the placement of schematics on
large kitchen appliances has been problematic
at best. If possible, they were just dropped in
the shipping carton as part of the accompanying
paperwork. If necessary, they were added as labels
(if possible) directly to the appliance or physically
attached to the appliance by some type of clip
(either at the toe-grill or another location),
or placed in a plain paper envelope with adhesive
tape on the back. All of these solutions added
cost and labor while not provided an effective
solution to the customer’s service group.
Schematics were often missing or damaged due to
the moisture and grime that they could encounter.
A BETTER WAY
For several years, Lauraville Specialty Products,
LLC has been supplying a superior solution to
a major appliance manufacturer. We identified
the problems and concerns, designed and manufacture
a poly envelope that is backed with a high
temperature acrylic adhesive. We then package
the schematic in the envelope where they are sealed
until needed. This envelope is superior to paper
envelopes because it protects schematics from
moisture and grime. Finally, we return the envelopes
in a continuous format for faster production,
reduced repetitive motions, and reduced housekeeping.
We have successfully shipped millions of packaged
schematics. Our solution provides:
- Reduced manufacturing time
- Reduced repetitive motions
- Less housekeeping
- Minimized waste in the service chain
- Improved after-sales service processes and
efficiencies
- Assurance that a problem is fixed on the
first visit, solving customer problems quickly

need a printed base label to remain when the insert
is removed, see our Versa-Label
product line.
